Giving Day

15 May, 2025

Your gift. Their future.

On 15 May, 1989, Bond’s first 322 students helped to establish Australia’s first private, independent and not-for-profit university.  Since then, more than 35,000 graduates have walked under the Arch on their way to successful careers all over the world.  Many of those students have been supported by the generosity of Bond alumni and supporters contributing to scholarships, student opportunities and research.

A small gift can make a huge impact on the future of Bondies.

How to donate

Follow the link to the Charidy donation portal to donate. You can make multiple donations throughout the day to help us reach our target.

Helping students provide remote medical care

The Student Opportunity Fund gave me the opportunity to participate in a week-long medical camp providing free medical care across Fiji.

From taking patient histories to assisting doctors with physical examinations, the experience honed my medical skills but also completely shifted my perspective on healthcare delivery.  It ignited a passion for making a contribution to global health equity, which will stay with me into my career.

Their time at Bond was the beginning of Duane and Jennie Cadman’s careers, their closest friendships and their family legacy. Now, these alumni are ensuring future students have the same opportunities by pledging to match every donation made on Giving Day. “It’s about giving the next generation the same opportunities we had," Duane and Jennie said.

'Donations change lives'

What makes Bond so special is opportunity. The Student Opportunity Fund enabled 16 Bondies to go over to Nepal last year on a three-week mission to help deliver humanitarian aid and work with schools. We were able to grow so much in our cultural understanding and in our ability to support other people, especially of different backgrounds and mindsets.

Donations to the Student Opportunity Fund truly change lives, both the lives of us Bondies and the lives of the people that we are able to support.
