We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Services Manager to join our Faculty of Health Sciences and Medicine. This role is pivotal in providing high-level operational advice and support to the Faculty Business Director and senior staff, ensuring effective resource management, service delivery, and governance across our five locations. You will:
- Lead and mentor a team across financial services, HR, executive support, and office operations.
- Drive business improvement projects that streamline services and improve outcomes.
- Build strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to support strategic initiatives.
- Manage contracts, agreements, and compliance with a keen eye for detail and quality.
- Implement operational plans that align with Faculty goals and university-wide strategies.
- Implement and manage Faculty strategic and operational plans.
About the person
We are seeking someone who’s not just experienced, but strategic, proactive, and people-focused — someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and leads with confidence.
Essential Criteria:
- A relevant degree or equivalent professional experience of at least 5 years in a senior operational or administrative role.
- Demonstrated success leading high-performing teams across multiple sites.
- Strong financial acumen and experience with HR and service contract management.
- Change management and process improvement skills with a results-driven mindset.
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
Desirable Criteria:
- Qualifications in business, finance, or related disciplines.
- Experience in higher education or healthcare environments.
- Knowledge of Agile or LEAN methodologies.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365, including SharePoint, Power BI, and Power Automate.
Salary details
The salary for the position commences at $109,525.60 per annum, plus 12% superannuation.
