Research interests
My research examines the psychological and sociological dimensions of criminal behavior, victimisation patterns, and violence prevention. I seek to identify risk factors for interpersonal violence and develop evidence-based interventions, particularly through the innovative integration of sports-based initiatives.
My current research agenda encompasses three broad areas:
- Victimology and psychological risk factors, with specific emphasis on female victims of interpersonal violence and the victim/offender overlap paradigm
- The psychology of cybercrime, particularly focusing on romance scams and online victimisation patterns
- Sports-based intervention strategies for violence prevention and social transformation
I also collaborate on projects examining intimate partner violence typologies, gender-based violence prevention, and the development of empirically-grounded risk assessment tools. My work aims to bridge the gap between theoretical criminology and practical intervention strategies.
