Bond University is committed to providing a culturally safe and supportive learning environment for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students where they can progress and complete a higher degree education program.
Bond is committed to First Nations voices and supporting First Nations students at both undergraduate and post graduate levels, as such, the aim of this scholarship is to promote the participation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders in higher degree research. Eligible Indigenous students are encouraged to apply for this scholarship.
There are two key overarching principles for determining the distribution of scholarships among applicants. First, scholarships are to be awarded through a merit-based process. Second, scholarship applicants are to be treated equitably and fairly, regardless of their research discipline, and regardless of the source of their scholarship funding.
A scholarship for all successful applicants includes:
- Stipend (living allowance) up to three years. The 2025 full-time stipend rate for both scholarship categories will be $33,511 per annum (indexed annually).
- Indigenous scholarship applicants are already entitled to a 100% fee waiver under the Australian Government Research Training Program.
