Full strength Bull Sharks set for clash with Panthers

Abby Boland and Jorja Gisinger
Jorja Gisinger (L) and Abby Boland will be key players against the Panthers.

The Bull Sharks head to Toowoomba with a full roster of fit and available players for the first time this year. Awaiting them are the Panthers who always play well in front of their home crowd.

Bull Sharks v Darling Downs Panthers in Toowoomba

Ruby Series

Last time they met:

Round 1, 2024 Bull Sharks won 68 – 41.

The opposition:

The Panthers are a nice clean side but are very tenacious in defence, they also have a very accurate 2-point shooter. We must be switched on from the first whistle as they will have the home crowd advantage this weekend.

Where it will be won:

We need to maintain composure and stick to our structures and game plan for the full 60 minutes.

One to watch:

Jorja Gisinger has been outstanding in our last three or four games as our strong and accurate shooter. We are looking to her to continue her good form under the post.

The focus:

We have to reduce the amounts of unforced errors that we made in the last game. We are also working on improving our ability to hit our targets in all areas of the court.

Shuffling the magnets:

We see Abby Boland back this week as she was elevated to play in Sapphire Series against Wildcats on the weekend. This means we finally have our full team back with all 10 players now cleared to play a full game for the first time this year.

The final word:

The Panthers are hard competitors, and you can never take them lightly.
