The Bull Sharks will look to build on their momentum for the finals when they host Maroochydore at The Canal on Saturday.

With a host of Queensland representative players available, coach Andy Lovell will have one of his strongest sides of the season.

Bull Sharks vs Maroochydore at The Canal.

Last time they met:

Rd 6, 2024, at Maroochydore.

Bull Sharks won 11.9 (75) to 0.2 (2)

The opposition:

We’re expecting a tougher test from the 7th placed Maroochydore from the last time we played them. They have improved a fair bit with a change of their senior coach. It will be a good battle for us, Maroochydore play a high tempo, high speed game and share the ball around a lot by hand.

Shuffling the magnets:

This week we welcome back six players who represented QLD at the U18 state champs - Havana Harris, Mia Salisbury, Aleira Usher, Annabelle Foat, Nyalli Milne and Skye White. Imogen Evans will also be back in the mix after returning from knee soreness. There will be a few unlucky girls as we slot these players back in, but that’s the nature of the game.

 Ones to watch:

Keep an eye out for Tshinta Kendall who played her second game in seniors last weekend and C.J Landwehr who won best on ground in the Pride match last round. Jemma Blair has been excellent and is a key defender and Arianna Clarke came back from injury last round and played well as a forward.

 The Focus:

The focus for this week is to work on our clearances and our mid-arch stoppages. We also need to ensure our high entries into our forward 50s are high quality.

Final word:

We have two games till finals time. Both seniors and reserves are playing high level footy so we must continue to focus on consistency and synergy and are looking for a strong finish ahead of finals. We look ahead to some tough games against Southport, Aspley and Coorparoo at finals time.
