Positive Psychology

Are you ready to unlock the secrets to a happier, more fulfilling life? This course will introduce students to the principles and concepts of positive psychology and how they relate to wellbeing. Students will dive into the science of happiness, explore the strengths and virtues that lead to positive life outcomes, and learn how to develop and enhance these qualities.

Students will gain skills and knowledge in self-assessment, gratitude journalling, goal setting, mindfulness, and self-development practice. 

For-credit subject

This experience can provide credit towards a university subject. Contact us to find out how students can complete five experiences and apply for credit for one 10cp subject into a Bond University undergraduate degree and obtain two points towards their Queensland Certificate of Education.

  • This course is delivered via four online modules: 

    • Introduction to Positive Psychology
    • Creating New Habits
    • Direction in Life Through Goal Setting 
    • The Secret to Happiness 

    Students will then engage in a one day practical workshop delving into wellbeing, happiness and the biological mechanisms of wellbeing. Students will leave armed with practical strategies to boost their wellbeing, along with a foundational understanding of the psychology of happiness and wellbeing. 

    Designed for: High school students in Years 11 and 12 

    Delivery: On campus/online

    Learning time: A total of 24 hours of learning, consisting of: 

    • 6 hours of online modules on the Bond Learner platform
    • 6 hours face-to-face on campus
    • 12 hours of additional readings and assessment

Dr. Megan Lee

Dr. Megan Lee is an Assistant Professor and Psychology Undergraduate Programme Coordinator at Bond University. Dr Lee specialises in Positive Psychology, focusing on human strengths, wellbeing, and happiness. Dr. Lee's research portfolio spans health promotion, lifestyle medicine, and nutrition and mental health. Her work is dedicated to understanding and improving mental health resilience, mindfulness and personal fulfilment, with a strong emphasis on translating research into practical, evidence-based strategies to promote mental wellness in everyday life.
