Club Corner: Bond run club.

run club

Each week on the Club Corner we will profile one of Bond University's social sport clubs.

This week the spotlight is on the Run Club.

What is the Bond Run Club?

We’re a fun community environment who love to get out and run!  Every Tuesday morning at 6:30am about 30 of us get together to run 5km from Miami to Burleigh and usually finish the session off with a dip in the ocean or a coffee.

movember

Greatest achievement?

Movember! Every year in November we raise money for the Movember charity which raises money for Men’s health. Our run club community extends to the whole university with our 24 hour runathon around Bond campus. Some of our runners have run as far as 110km in 24 hours! Last year we raised over $23,000 and 160 members of the Bond community got involved.

Why join Bond Run Club?

Uni is all about meeting new people, new friends and trying new things and run club is the perfect place for that. If you haven’t run before that's ok! Everyone runs at different paces and distances - it's a great place to start your running journey.

One word to describe Bond Run Club?

Club Culture Champions

Our pacemakers! Millie Brown, Finn Anderson and Georgia Hamilton. They are down at Run Club week in and week out.

Fun Traditions and Rivalries

Group Snap – Our iconic group photo which we take after every run at the top of the Burleigh Hill

Acai + Chill – Once a semester we finish our run with an acai bowl from Oakberry!

Group Brekky – At the end of every semester we have a shared breakfast!

Fiercest Rival? The Med Run Club...we are bigger and faster!
