Description
This subject introduces you to subtractive digital fabrication methods using NURBS modelling software and physical making using the FSD Fablab and Workshop. You will be introduced to digital design thinking, geometric modelling, and computer numeric controlled (CNC) fabrication techniques using “file to fabrication” workflows. In addition, you will develop critical skills in graphic layout and photography to visually communicate spatial and design quality through physical artefacts and other media.

- Demonstrate knowledge and application of intermediate NURBS modelling and basic parametric design software skills.
- Rapid prototype utilising CNC equipment.
- Experiment and test various conceptual ideas using digital fabrication and representational techniques with various digital media.
