DIGM70-201: Modelling for Animation

Description

This subject will introduce students to the fundamentals of 3D modelling, texturing, rendering, and key principles of animation. Students learn to communicate their ideas through traditional and cutting-edge visualisation pipelines, and apply their knowledge using industry-standard digital creation tools, including Autodesk Maya / 3d Studio.

Learning outcomes

  1. Critically analyse and integrate the fundamental concepts, terms, and theories as they apply to the advanced modelling of prototypes.
  2. Integrate and apply advanced modelling, material mapping, and lighting techniques in the innovative and practical construction of prototypes.
