Description

Strategic decision-making in a projectised organisation is influenced by the effective management of communication, stakeholder objectives, and team dynamics. This subject examines how communication is managed across the entire project lifecycle, from initiation to closure, ensuring that project goals are clearly understood and achieved. This subject covers a broad range of topics, including communication strategies, team meetings, virtual and co-located teams, cultural awareness, emotional intelligence, conflict resolution, and Project Management Information Systems (PMIS). Additionally, the subject explores stakeholder engagement, active listening, negotiation skills, non-verbal communication, and communication protocols. Emphasis will be placed on how communication facilitates collaboration, fosters trust, and supports decision-making at all levels of the project. This subject also integrates methods for managing and adapting communication to the unique needs of different stakeholders, ensuring alignment and the successful delivery of the project’s outcomes.

  4. Apply and implement effective communication management practices to identify, address, and resolve communication-related issues throughout the project lifecycle.
